How we got here.
Cyber Chameleon started life as Likin’IT, a traditional IT support company. They did what most IT providers did at the time: something broke, they fixed it. It worked, and their clients appreciated it.
But as the business grew, something started to shift. The support tickets coming in were changing. More and more issues were not hardware failures or software glitches. They were security incidents. Phishing attacks. Ransomware. Data breaches. Things that no amount of reactive fixing would ever get ahead of.
Carl had been paying close attention to cybersecurity for years, well before it became a mainstream conversation for most IT providers. The picture was becoming clear: small businesses were facing the same threats as large enterprises but without anywhere near the same protection. Most could not afford a dedicated security team. Most did not even know where to start.
That realisation led to a decision. About six to seven years ago, Carl made the deliberate choice to rebuild the business around security. Not as a bolt-on service. Not as an upsell. As the foundation of everything they did. The business was rebranded as Cyber Chameleon two years ago, a name chosen deliberately to reflect the ability to adapt and stay ahead in a constantly changing landscape.
It has not always been straightforward. Building something properly takes time. Carl spent years researching, testing, and refining the technology stack that underpins the service today. Getting the right tools to work together the right way is not something that happens overnight. But that investment in getting it right is exactly what makes the service different now.
Today, Cyber Chameleon is a small, focused team. And other IT providers come to us to learn how to do what we do.
What drives us.
We believe that cybersecurity should not be a privilege reserved for organisations with big IT budgets. Every business, whatever its size, deserves to have its technology set up properly and its data protected.
We also believe that most business owners should not have to think about their IT at all. You built your business around something you are good at. Technology should support that, quietly and reliably, without pulling your attention away from what matters.
That is what we set out to deliver for every client we work with. IT that just works. Security that holds. And a team you can actually talk to when you need to.

Carl Perrin, Founder
Carl has been working in IT for over 25 years, starting back when getting online meant waiting for a dial-up connection. He has seen the industry change considerably and has stayed ahead of those changes by choice, not by accident. His focus on cybersecurity began well before most IT providers were paying attention to it, and that early investment is what shapes the way Cyber Chameleon builds and manages every client’s setup today.

Shun runs the operations side of Cyber Chameleon, making sure everything works as smoothly in practice as it does in theory. With experience on both sides of service delivery, Shun brings a straightforward, client-first approach to how the team operates day to day.
